Market Regulation Services Inc. (RS) has chosen Echoworx EMX to exchange encrypted messages and attachments with market participants.
The independent regulation services provider for Canadian equity marketplaces will provide access to EMX, a secure collaborative portal where users can exchange digitally signed and encrypted messages.
RS says EMX helps it to fulfill its mandate to ensure investor confidence and market integrity by providing a communications channel between RS and market participants to ensure information is protected against unauthorized modification or interception.
EMX provides RS with audit reporting which delivers a way to track filing of highly confidential information like short position reporting, alert notifications, and gatekeeper reports.
“We looked at a number of solutions to replace our existing system and chose Echoworx EMX because it delivered the requisite level of security and audit reporting we needed to communicate sensitive information with market participants,” says Maureen Jensen, President and CEO of RS. “EMX gives market participants access to a secure collaboration portal where they can easily exchange encrypted information, with the confidence of industry trusted PKI and S/MIME based encryption.”
Toronto-based Echoworx is a provider of security solutions for enhancing privacy and trust in digital communications.
