Global-Med Technologies Group Inc., of Sarasota, Florida, has agreed not to solicit or trade in securities in New Brunswick without first seeking proper registration with the New Brunswick Securities Commission, effective January 25.
The undertaking was requested by the NBSC following a complaint from a Bathurst resident who was solicited and had concerns, the NBSC said in an investor alert published Wednesday.
“We rely on New Brunswickers reporting suspicious investments to us so that we can take action,” said Rick Hancox, executive director of the NBSC. “Those operating in New Brunswick’s capital markets should know that we are watching to ensure they are following the rules.”
Global-Med Technologies Group Inc. is purported to be a research-based private equity group investing in medical technology companies. Any resident who has been contacted by Global-Med Technologies Group Inc. should contact the New Brunswick Securities Commission at 1 866 933-2222.
