Donnelle J.L. Loewen, a broker with the Winnipeg branch office of CFG Financial Group Inc., has been fined $50,000 and banned permanently from the industry.

The Investment Dealers Association of Canada said Loewen violated IDA by-laws by refusing or failing to attend and give information into an investigation being conducted by the association.

“Mr. Loewen is fined $50,000 and is permanently prohibited from registration in any capacity with the association,” the IDA said in a release Monday. “In addition, Mr. Loewen is required to pay $6,020 towards the association’s costs of the investigation and prosecution of this matter.”
