The Investment Dealers Association is extending the deadline for reporting the results of civil proceedings in Ontario.

Upon consultation with the Ontario Securities Commission, the IDA is changing the standard terms and conditions imposed upon individuals who are the subject of civil proceedings. The deadline for notifying the IDA of the results of any action will be changed from 72 hours to 10 business days.

The change brings the requirement in line with the time period set out in an IDA by-law. However, this change does not affect registrants who currently have the condition of 72 hour notification imposed upon their registration.

The change only affects individuals registered in Ontario.
