The B.C. Securities Commission (BCSC) announced that it has issued its own enforcement orders against a numerous individuals that have been previously sanctioned by various other regulators.
The BCSC said today that a hearing panel has issued reciprocal orders against 18 individuals sanctioned by various other regulators, including the authorities in Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Saskatchewan.

The use of reciprocal orders has been on the rise in Canada in recent years. And, the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) said in a strategic plan released last year that it plans to promote increased use of reciprocal orders within the CSA as one of its priorities for beefing up enforcement over the next several years.
