The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has withdrawn all charges it laid against three promoters in the Provincial Court of Alberta in 2011, the regulator announced on Friday.

The charges against John Kirk, Benjamin Kirk, and Dylan Leslie related to the three men’s involvement in Calgary-based Skymark Research and two associated stock promotion websites, which are no longer in operation.

In addition, the ASC has withdrawn a notice of hearing against The Tradeshow Marketing Company Ltd. and Pacific Blue Energy Corp., two Nevada corporations promoted by the websites that are also no longer in operation.

An interim cease trade order issued by the ASC in 2011 against these parties and others has been revoked in accordance with its terms, which stipulated that the order would remain in effect until final determination of the allegations in court and the notice of hearing.

John Kirk, Benjamin Kirk, and Dylan Boyle entered into a settlement agreement with the ASC on Oct. 15. that resolved the proceedings against them. The three men each agreed to each pay the ASC $100,000 to settle allegations they acted as advisors without being registered.
