The Alberta Securities Commission is seeking to ban Douglas Arnold Clarke and Bick Financial Services Inc. of British Columbia from the Alberta capital market.

In a notice of hearing, ASC staff seek reciprocal orders in Alberta similar to sanctions imposed on Oct.17, 2006 by the B.C. Securities Commission (BCSC) against Clarke and Bick Financial Services Inc.

The BCSC banned Clarke 20 years from buying or selling securities except in limited circumstances or acting as a director or officer of any issuer.

The hearing is scheduled for November 7, and will be conducted under the reciprocal enforcement provisions of the Alberta Securities Act.

A copy of the Notice of Hearing outlining the allegations in their entirety is available on the ASC website at www.albertasecurities.com.
