The Alberta Court of Appeal has overturned a Court of Queen’s Bench ruling and reinstated an Alberta Securities Commission decision against KCP Innovative Services Inc. and James Baker, the ASC said Monday.
The Aug. 9, 2007 ASC decision found that KCP Innovative and Baker engaged in illegal trades and distributions of KCP Innovative securities.
The ASC will now consider what, if any, sanctions are to be imposed against KCP Innovative and Baker, the regulator said.
Copies of the Alberta Court of Appeal decision and the ASC decision are posted on the ASC website at www.albertasecurities.com.
