The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is looking for candidates to serve on its Distribution Practices Advisory Committee, the Quebec regulator announced on Friday.
The committee will provide the AMF with feedback on issues concerning reps that operate under legislation governing the distribution of financial products and services, particularly distribution practices for insurance and financial planning.
The committee will serve as a forum between the AMF and the industry, and will aim to give it practical insight on the business, with the goal of helping the regulator “develop a modern, responsive framework based on best practices,” the AMF says in a news release.
The committee will include up to 15 industry representatives. Members will serve an initial two-year term, which may be extended.
The deadline for applications is June 15.
