The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is seeking candidates for its advisory group on derivatives regulation.

On Tuesday, the AMF issued a call for volunteers to sit on its derivatives advisory committee, which serves as a discussion forum between the derivatives industry and the regulator.

Among other things, the committee provides the AMF with policy advice, and seeks ways to harmonize Québec’s regime with international standards.

The group, which is composed of five to 10 industry representatives from various sectors with derivatives industry expertise, along with members of the AMF, typically meets three to four times per year.

Applications to join the committee are due by April 26.
