Dave Cassie
Managing Director, Consulting and Deals, PwC
Dave Cassie leads PwC’s asset and wealth management advisory practice in Canada, with a focus on strategy, digitization, FinTech, regulatory change and business transformation. Cassie has over 30 years of strategy, operational excellence and transformation experience in advisory, systems integration, outsourcing and industry roles. Cassie is a former executive with a leading Canadian Wealth and Asset Management firm where he played key role in implementing global regulatory solutions, deploying risk management solutions, transforming operating models and implementing operational excellence programs. Cassie assisted with the PwC global ETF survey, ‘Roadmap to Growth’, (2018), including socialization of the findings with Canadian participants (ETF issuers, asset managers and asset servicers). Through this process Cassie had direct one-on-one discussion with Canadian leaders in the ETF space.

Charles Myers
Founder and Chairman, Signum Global Advisors
Charles Myers has more than 20 years of U.S. political and electoral experience advising candidates in presidential, senate, house of representatives, gubernatorial and mayoral races, including Hillary Clinton for President 2016. He also has 25 years of experience in global financial markets. As chairman, Myers works with financial institutions and multi-national businesses to anticipate and assess policy agendas and announcements. Areas of expertise include U.S. foreign policy and the implications of the Trump presidency in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Myers also forecasts global trade policy, energy dynamics and regulation within the financial, energy and technology sectors in the U.S., U.K. and Europe. Formerly vice-chairman of Evercore ISI, he was the founding partner and head of the Institutional Equities business. Prior to that, Myers served as global head of equities and board member at Fox-Pitt, Kelton.
Raymond Chan
Director of the Investment Funds and Structured Products Brand, Ontario Securities Commission (OSC)
Raymond Chan is currently the director of the Investment Funds and Structured Products Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). Chan has been in the Investment Funds area since joining the OSC in 2001. He has a master of accounting and a bachelor of mathematics from the University of Waterloo. Chan is a chartered professional accountant and a chartered financial analyst charterholder. In conjunction with the Canadian Securities Administrators, the Investment Funds and Structured Products Branch is responsible for all aspects of the regulation of investment products, including the review of prospectuses, considering applications for discretionary relief and developing investment fund regulation and policy. The Branch also monitors and responds to emerging product developments and innovations in the investment funds industry.
Andrew Clee, CFA, CMT
Vice President, Exchange Traded Funds, Fidelity Canada
Andrew Clee is responsible for developing Fidelity’s ETF strategy and is the subject-matter expert for Fidelity Canada’s ETFs. With eight years of industry experience, Clee was previously a lead portfolio manager at Raymond James Ltd. on portfolios using both active and passive strategies. In addition, Clee created and authored the Raymond James Technically Speaking report, which used quantitative screening techniques to identify companies with exposure to certain quantitative factors such as dividend yield, value, momentum and growth. Clee holds a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Guelph as well as chartered financial analyst and chartered market technician designations.
Trevor Cummings
Director, ETF Leader, BlackRock Canada
Trevor Cummings, director and ETF leader at iShares, is responsible for growing the asset base of the RBC iShares ETF offering, including spearheading business initiatives in relation to ongoing support and education for this innovative suite of investment solutions. Cummings has 20 years of experience in the financial industry and has been directly involved in ETFs since 2005. He holds an economics degree from the University of Toronto and has completed the certified investment management analyst designation offered by the Investments and Wealth Institute and the Wharton School.
Duane Green
President and Chief Executive Officer, Franklin Templeton Canada
Duane Green is president and chief executive officer of Franklin Templeton Canada and of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada. Leveraging more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, he oversees Franklin Templeton's Canadian business. Green previously served as managing director, Canada, responsible for the firm's Canadian retail, institutional and high net-worth distribution business. Prior to that, he was head of Institutional, Canada. Green joined Franklin Templeton in 2004 as vice-president, strategic alliances. Before joining the firm, he was a vice-president at an international insurer. Green is also chair of the board and director of Franklin Templeton Investments Corporation, director of Fiduciary Trust Company of Canada and is chair and director of FTC Investor Services Inc.
Julian Klymochko
Chief Executive Officer, Accelerate
Julian Klymochko is the chief executive officer and chief investment officer (CIO) of Accelerate Financial Technologies Inc. Prior to founding Accelerate in February 2018, Klymochko was the CIO of Ross Smith Asset Management where he managed award-winning alternative investment strategies for nearly a decade. He founded and managed a top performing Canadian alternative fund in 2017. Klymochko also managed a six-time award winning market neutral hedge fund and founded an award-winning event-driven arbitrage fund. Prior to Ross Smith Asset Management, he was an analyst at BMO Capital Markets. He attended the University of Manitoba where he graduated with a bachelors of science (engineering) and a bachelors of commerce (finance). Klymochko is a chartered financial analyst charterholder. Klymochko is the host of the Absolute Return podcast. He has appeared on Bloomberg, BNN, and other global and national media.
Michelle Munro
Director, Tax and Retirement Research, Fidelity Canada
Michelle Munro is director, tax and retirement research at Fidelity Canada. Munro joined Fidelity in 2008 and advises on tax issues that affect Fidelity’s mutual funds and their investors. She also plays an integral role in Fidelity’s research on estate and retirement planning. Munro is a member of the Chartered Professional Accounts of Ontario. Furthermore, she has an interest in furthering the education of investing and women. She is currently co-chair of Fidelity’s Women’s Leadership Group (WLG), an internal employee resource group aiming to help women grow personally and professionally.
Dean Orrico
President and Chief Investment Officer, Middlefield Capital Corporation
Dean Orrico brings more than 20 years of investment experience to his role as president and chief investment officer of Middlefield Capital Corporation (MCC) and has been employed by MCC since 1996. Orrico is a respected member of the investment management community having spent many years educating financial advisors on the trends and developments in the capital markets in Canada and abroad. He is committed to excellence and integrity in funds management and is responsible for overseeing the creation and ongoing management of all of Middlefield's investment funds, including exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, closed-end funds and flow-through funds. As chief investment officer, Orrico leverages the talents and experience of his portfolio managers to ensure they work as a team in the best interests of their clients.
Dr. Moira Somers
Author, Neuropsychologist, and Executive Coach
Dr. Moira Somers is an author, neuropsychologist and executive coach based in Winnipeg. She is on faculty at the University of Manitoba and at the Sudden Money Institute in Florida. Dr. Somers’ time is divided between direct service delivery to clients, speaking and training, and consultation with financial organizations around the globe. Past and present clients include the National Football League Players’ Association, financial planning organizations in North America, Europe, and South Africa, and a wide array of private investment firms, insurance companies and banking institutions. Furthermore, she is the author of the international best-selling book, Advice that Sticks: How to Give Financial Advice that People Will Follow. She brings to the financial community her uncommon blend of expertise in neuroscience, behavioural economics, medical non-compliance, and the psychology of money.
