Ten individuals from the June 2009 Certified Financial Planner exam sitting have earned places on the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) President’s List, which recognizes the top 1% of successful exam candidates.

In June, 1,029 candidates from across Canada wrote the CFP Examination with an overall pass rate for the exam of 39.8%. Passing the CFP exam is a requirement of all those working towards CFP certification.

“Congratulations to the honorees for their outstanding performance on the CFP Examination. These individuals have demonstrated a high standard of professional competence, judgment, analytical skills and commitment to ethics in financial planning. They are now one step closer to joining the ranks of more than 17,500 CFP professionals in Canada and 120,000 internationally,” says Cary List, president & CEO, FPSC.

The 10 honourees are:
