Advocis and the Advocis Protective Association (APA) today announced that a new errors and omissions insurance plan is now available for the 2005-2006 renewal period.

The new plan, which takes effect on April 1, features enhanced coverage at reduced prices. The plan is managed by AON Reed Stenhouse.

Highlights of the new plan include:

  • Extended coverage for appearance before a disciplinary body
  • In addition to providing coverage for activities relating to Life Insurance, Mutual Funds and Accident & Sickness, the Coverage A now also provides coverage for Term Deposits, GIC’s, and Income Trusts
  • The policy now allows dually licensed agents who relinquish one of their licenses mid term to purchase an Extended Reporting Period for their former business
  • For assistants who carry a license of convenience for administrative purposes only a $1,000,000 limit of coverage can be purchased at 50% of the applicable premium.

Advocis says by renewing online members can save $50, have their renewal processed in minutes and get their certificate right away.
