Three investment advisors in Brampton, Ont., working with the Brampton and Area Community Foundation (BACF), have taken the initiative to open a children’s fund.
Founding donors David Sharpe of ScotiaMcLeod, Mark Miller of TD Waterhouse Investment Advice and Cameron Welsh of Queensbury Insurance Brokers Inc. have decided to give local investment advisors an avenue to make a donation, where earnings will be distributed to deserving children’s causes in Brampton.
“I invite all professional advisors, accountants, lawyers, estate specialists, investment and banking professionals to contact me directly to learn how you can be a valuable part of building this fund,” stated Miller in a relese. “The Professional Advisors Children’s Fund provides an excellent opportunity for local advisors to help in building a growing and enduring fund that will benefit the children of our community for many years to come.”
BACF, one of over 130 community foundations operating across Canada, is a charitable management organization, which encourages individuals, businesses, private foundations and other registered charities to establish permanent endowment funds.
These funds are permanently invested with professional fund managers and the investment earnings are distributed to local charities.
