Capital Group Canada has launched two equity and two fixed-income ETFs — the asset manager’s first active ETFs on the TSX, the firm said in a release on Thursday.
The four ETFs are as follows:
- Capital Group Global Equity Select ETF (CAPG),
- Capital Group International Equity Select ETF (CAPI),
- Capital Group Multi-Sector Income Select ETF (CAPM), and
- Capital Group World Bond Select ETF (CAPW).
“Our ETFs are designed to focus on the major asset allocation categories used by financial professionals when constructing client portfolios,” Rick Headrick, president of Capital Group Canada, said in a release.
Los Angeles–based Capital Group manages more than US$2.7 trillion globally, including 21 ETFs in the U.S. with assets under management of more than US$42 billion, the release said. That amount represents 5% of U.S. market share in active ETFs, captured in a little over two years, it said.
Other recent product launches
Mackenzie Investments launched the Mackenzie U.S. Small Cap Fund, which is actively managed by the asset manager’s global quantitative equity team. The team has been running a similar strategy for institutional investors since February 2020, a release said.
CI Global Asset Management launched six all-in-one asset allocation mutual funds on the TSX:
- CI Conservative Asset Allocation Fund (20% equity),
- CI Balanced Income Asset Allocation Fund (40% equity),
- CI Balanced Asset Allocation Fund (60% equity),
- CI Balanced Growth Asset Allocation Fund (70% equity),
- CI Growth Asset Allocation Fund (80% equity), and
- CI Equity Asset Allocation Fund (100% equity).
The funds are based on CI’s asset allocation ETFs.
IA Clarington Investments launched the iA Agile Global Total Return Income Fund, a fixed-income strategy subadvised by Dan Janis, chief investment officer with Agile Investment Management, and his team.
