After leaving his post as president of Wellington-Altus Private Wealth Inc. at the end of July, Jordy Chilcott is moving to Manulife Investment Management where he’ll be head of retail intermediary distribution for Canada.
Beginning Sept. 5, Chilcott will be responsible for developing and marketing new investment products, building the firm’s customer base and collaborating with third-party managers, a release from Manulife said. As a senior leader on the global retail team, he’ll also help identify opportunities across Manulife’s global retail business.
“Jordy’s previous experience has given him important insight on both asset management and wealth management business models, and he has a proven track record of assembling and enabling high-performing teams while empowering an entrepreneurial spirit to connect with clients on investment opportunities and find mutual success,” said Leo M. Zerilli, head of wealth and asset management, Canada, with Manulife Investment Management, in the release.
Chilcott had been with Wellington-Altus since December 2020. Before that, he held senior positions at firms including Sun Life Global Investments, Scotiabank and Dynamic Funds.
Dennis Stewner, executive vice-president, COO and chief financial officer at Wellington-Altus, is replacing Chilcott as president.
