Fabien Jeudy has been appointed the next president and CEO of the Equitable Life Insurance Company of Canada.

Jeudy brings more than 30 years of experience in life and health insurance, wealth management and group benefits in Canada, the U.S. and Asia to the role. He most recently served as CEO of Sun Life Hong Kong.

In a release, Douglas Alexander, chair of Equitable Life’s board of directors, described Jeudy as “the perfect choice to lead Equitable Life into its next 100 years in business.”

“I’m honoured to be selected by the board to be the next leader of Equitable Life and I am looking forward to working with the extraordinary leadership team and exemplary people there,” Jeudy said in a statement.

On July 5, Jeudy will take over from Ronald Beettam, who is retiring after 16 years with Equitable Life.
