An employee of the agency that coordinates global securities regulators, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) secretariat, has tested positive for Covid-19.

The group, which is based in Madrid, reported that a staff member at its headquarters is currently receiving medical treatment for the virus.

All IOSCO secretariat staff have been working from home since March 11, it said, and none of them have had contact with the infected employee for the last 16 days.

At the start of March, IOSCO cancelled all in-person meetings, and shifted essential meetings to teleconference. It also cancelled or postponed all business travel.

IOSCO’s next annual meeting, which typically brings together regulators from around the world, is scheduled for June 8–10 in Dubai.
