Winnipeg-based Great-West Life Assurance Co., London Life and Canada Life have appointed Brad Fedorchuk as executive vice president, group customer and Paul Orlander as executive vice president, individual customer, the life insurance companies announced Thursday.

Reporting directly to Jeff Macoun, president and chief operating officer, Canada, Fedorchuk and Orlander will be focused on leading their respective business units to execute and evolve the firms’ Canadian customer strategy, the companies say in a news release.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Brad and Paul, and I’m looking forward to working closely with both of them as we deliver on our vision for the future,” says Macoun in a statement. “These two individuals are strong additions to our executive leadership team and I’m confident they will deliver solid results as our organization continues to grow, adapt and prosper.”

Fedorchuk has been with Great-West Life since 1994. Since then, he’s taken on roles with increasing responsibility, growing his breadth of experience to include marketing, national accounts underwriting and leading strategic initiatives such as the information technology roadmap. He was most recently senior vice president, customer experience and marketing for group customer. He has a bachelor of science in actuarial science from the University of Manitoba and will continue to be based in Winnipeg.

Orlander is new to Great-West Life and brings with him 25 years’ experience in personal banking, wealth management and strategy consulting to leading financial institutions. He most recently served as the senior vice president, personal savings and investing and president, TD Mutual Funds. He will work primarily in London, Ont., where he will lead the individual customer team to execute on a strategic plan built over the past year. Orlander has a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor of arts, honors business administration from the Ivey Business School, Western University.
