Toronto-based Raymond James Ltd. announced on Tuesday that Kyle Rookes is joining the firm as managing director, investment banking, head of oil field services in Calgary, effective June 25.

“[Rookes’s] experience in strategic advisory, [mergers and acquisitions (M&A)] and client relationships, will bring additional depth and leadership to the already formidable energy investment banking team,” says Craig MacDougall, senior managing director, head of investment banking and head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) at Raymond James. “Our focus continues to be to provide the best possible cross border solutions and execution for our corporate clients by leveraging the expertise of our Investment Banking professionals from both sides of the border.”

Rookes is a career investment banker bringing more than a decade of M&A and capital markets experience to the firm with a focus on the oil field services sector. He is a graduate of the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business. Most recent, Rookes was director of investment banking with Cormark Securities Inc.
