Toronto-based Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. has opened a new wealth management office in Winnipeg, the firm announced on Wednesday.
The new office supports the company’s goal of selectively recruiting top industry talent to grow its assets under management and administration, the firm says in a news release.
Effective immediately, wealth management clients in Winnipeg and surrounding areas will be able to access local professionals who can help with investment solutions.
“We are very pleased to embark on this initiative with a group of Winnipeg’s most talented wealth management professionals and we are deeply committed to providing the tools and support to help them achieve long-term success,” says Stuart Raftus, president of Canaccord, in a statement.
“Winnipeg is a key strategic market for Canaccord and we look forward to building lasting relationships in the community as we grow our business in the region.”
The office, located in downtown Winnipeg, is home to three investment teams: The Tétrault Wealth Advisory Group, The Clinton Orr Wealth Management Group and a team led by Kevin Becker.
