CI Investments Inc. has received the required unitholder approval to proceed with the merger of six funds into other funds with similar mandates, the company has announced.
The mergers are as follows:
> CI Global Managers Corporate Class into Select 100e Managed Portfolio Corporate Class;
> CI International Corporate Class into CI International Value Corporate Class;
> CI International Fund into CI International Value Fund;
> Marret Strategic Yield Fund into Signature Diversified Yield II Fund;
> Signature High Yield Bond Fund into Signature High Yield Bond II Fund; and
> Synergy Tactical Asset Allocation Fund into; Signature Income & Growth Fund.
The mergers relating to Signature High Yield Bond Fund and Synergy Tactical Asset Allocation Fund did not require unitholder approval.
Unitholders of the remaining terminating funds approved the mergers at meetings on Oct. 26 and Nov. 2. In addition, approval was required and received from unitholders of two continuing funds: CI International Value Corporate Class and Select 100e Managed Portfolio Corporate Class.
The merger relating to CI Global Managers Corporate Class will take effect Nov. 24. The remaining fund mergers take effect Nov. 3.
