ScotiaMcLeod Inc. has chosen Boston-based Wellington Management Co. LLP as the new portfolio advisor for its Pinnacle International Equity Fund, effective March 21. Wellington replaces Bank of Ireland Asset Management. ScotiaMcLeod spokesman Matthew Coorsh says the change follows a standard review of advisors, which aims to find the best fit for the needs of the fund’s unitholders. ScotiaMcLeod has also appointed New York-based BlackRock Financial Management Inc. as the new portfolio advisor for Pinnacle American Mid-Cap Value Equity Fund following its acquisition of State Street Research & Management Co. BlackRock is one of the largest publicly traded investment management firms in the U.S., with more than
$342 billion in assets under management.
