Bank of Nova Scotia today announced the appointment of Kim McKenzie to the position of executive vp, Scotia intek, effective immediately.
Scotia intek provides technology infrastructure, network/communication design and support, application development and maintenance, item processing, and oversight of information security for all areas of Scotiabank.
During her 19 years at Scotiabank. McKenzie has held progressively senior positions in finance, integrated support services and international banking. Her previous position was senior vp, international banking systems.
“We continually review our operations to ensure that we have the right people and structures in place to maximize efficiency and ultimately enable us to provide the best in service to our customers,” said Rick Waugh, Scotiabank president and CEO, in a news release.
“Today’s announcement brings a new set of skills and talents to the executive management team, strengthening even further our ability to manage on behalf of all of our stakeholders.”
McKenzie’s appointment continues Scotiabank’s move towards managing support functions and systems infrastructure on a global basis and standardizing, where possible, systems and operational support across the bank.
In her new role, McKenzie will report directly to Scotiabank’s vice chairman and chief administrative officer, Sabi Marwah.
