Monique Leroux, current chairwoman of the board and president and CEO of Lévis, Que,-based Desjardins Group, has been elected to the board of directors for the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA). The ICA is an independent group that represents co-operatives throughout the world. She was one of 15 directors elected during the ICA’s annual global conference in November. Her appointment comes ahead of the 2014 International Summit of Co-operatives, which will be co-hosted by the ICA and Desjardins Group in Quebec City next October.
