Toronto-based RBC Global Asset Management Inc. (RBCGAM) has launched four new equity funds: RBC Global Equity Fund, RBC U.S. Equity Value Fund, RBC Japanese Equity Fund and RBC Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Equity Fund. RBC Global Equity Fund will be managed by RBCGAM’s London-based global equities team. RBC U.S. Equity Value Fund will be managed by Stu Kedwell and Doug Raymond, both portfolio managers with RBCGAM. RBC Japanese Equity Fund and RBC Asia Pacific Ex-Japan Equity Fund will be managed by the Hong Kong-based Asian equities team led by Mayur Nallamalla, senior portfolio manager and head of Asian equities with RBCGAM. Advisor commissions for all four funds are 0%-5% for front-end sales or 1% for the low-load option. There is no deferred sales option. Redemption fees begin at 2% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 2 for the low-load schedule. Trailing commissions are 1% for both front end and low-load sales. Management fees are 1.75% for A-class units and 0.75% for F-class units for RBC U.S. Equity Value Fund; and 1.85% for A-class units and 0.85% for F-class units for the other three funds. Minimum investment is $500.
