RBC Capital Markets today announced that top-ranked analyst Gordon Gee will be joining RBC Capital Markets as senior Canadian oil and gas analyst effective February 7.

“The addition of Gordon to RBC Capital Markets’ strong team will enhance our ability to provide clients and shareholders with industry leading research and analysis,” said Steve Garmaise, global head of research, RBC Capital Markets.

“Gordon has distinguished himself with in-depth fundamental research of the entire Canadian oil and gas industry. His rankings are evidence of his independent thought, commitment to the best interests of investors, and excellent client service,” Garmaise added.

Gee has attained unprecedented rankings in annual surveys of institutional investors, ranking first in the most competitive exploration and production sector in the Brendan Wood survey for each of the past three years. Specifically, Gee was first in oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) companies, first in integrated oil and gas companies, and first in oil and gas services.

Gee will be joined by his long-time colleague Angela Guo. Angela will join RBC as an analyst focusing on the oil and gas services sector and other related companies.

Gee will also work closely with the existing oil and gas team at RBC Capital Markets including number-one ranked Canadian pipelines and utilities analyst, Maureen Howe.

Gee and Howe will collaborate with RBC’s U.S. energy team to provide an integrated North American approach to the oil patch.
