Dominion Bond Rating Service announced that it has appointed Jerry Marriott as a senior vice president in its Canadian structured finance group in Toronto.

Marriott joins DBRS from BMO Nesbitt Burns’ securitization and structured finance group, where he worked on a range of securitization transactions involving asset classes such as credit card receivables, rental car fleets, floorplan financing, equipment loans and leases, residential construction and single-family residential mortgages, investment loans, and trade receivables. Prior to joining the securitization and structured finance group at BMO Nesbitt, he spent a number of years in the corporate banking and treasury functions of Bank of Montreal.

“We are delighted to have Jerry at DBRS,” says Huston Loke, assistant group managing director and head of structured finance globally at DBRS. “His knowledge of and experience in securitization will ensure that we continue to offer superior research and analysis for investors, issuers, and bankers.”

Marriott received his MBA from the University of Western Ontario and his LLB from Dalhousie University.
