Toronto-based Sprott Asset Management LP has added Sprott Real Asset Class Fund to its lineup, which will provide investors with exposure to the infrastructure, timber and agriculture industries. The fund is subadvised by Pewaukee, Wis.- based Capital Innovations LLC, with Michael Underhill and Susan Dambekaln serving as lead portfolio co-managers. The fund will invest in a portfolio of mutual funds; it also will make direct investments in stocks, real estate investment trusts and master limited partnerships. As part of Sprott’s corporate-class offerings, Sprott Real Asset Class Fund will provide investors with the ability to switch between share classes on a tax-deferred basis. Sprott currently offers three other real asset funds subadvised by the same portfolio-management team: Sprott Global Infrastructure Fund, Sprott Timber Fund and Sprott Global Agriculture Fund. Advisor commissions on Sprott Real Asset Class Fund are 0%-5% for front-end sales and 3% for the low-load option. There is no deferred sales option. Redemption fees begin at 3% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 3 for the low-load schedule. Trailing commissions are up to 1% for front end and low-load sales. Management fees are 2.25% for A-class units and 1.25% for F-class units. Minimum investment is $1,000.
