TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM) of Toronto plans to merge several funds in April 2016. TDAM, the asset manager for TD Mutual Funds and TD Managed Assets Program Portfolios, proposes to merge the following funds:
– TD Energy Fund will merge into TD Resource Fund
– TD Precious Metals Fund also will merge with TD Resource Fund
– TD Latin American Growth Fund will merge into with TD Emerging Markets Fund
– TD Mortgage Fund will merge into TD Short Term Bond Fund
– TD Canadian Blue Chip Equity Fund will merge into TD Canadian Equity Fund
– TD Canadian Blue Chip Equity Class will merge into TD Canadian Equity Class
– TD FundSmart Managed Income Portfolio will merge into TD Managed Income Portfolio
All proposed mergers are subject to regulatory and unitholder approval. TDAM also announced changes to TD Resource Fund as of Nov. 16, 2015. At that time, the fund’s investment strategy will allow for its assets to be invested globally. Visit www.tdassetmanagement.com for fee details.
