Montreal-based National Bank Investments Inc. has lowered its management and administration fees on the A-class and F-class units of Westwood Emerging Markets Fund. As of Dec. 1, the management fee for A-class units was reduced to 2.3% from 2.5%. The management fee for F-class units was changed to 1.05% from 1.25%. The administration fee for both classes now is 0.19%, down from 0.22%. The fund’s investment objective is long-term capital growth through investing primarily in equities whose issuers are located in emerging markets. Advisor commissions are 0%-5% for front-end sales; 5% for deferred sales; or 2.5% for the low-load, deferred sales option. Redemption fees begin at 6% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 6 for the regular DSC schedule, or begin at 2.5% in Year 1 and end at zero after Year 3 of the low-load schedule. Trailing commissions are 1.25% for front-end sales; 0.5% for the first 6 years of deferred sales, and 1.25% thereafter; and 0.5% for the first three years of low-load sales and 1% thereafter. Minimum investment is $500.
