The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Goldman Sachs Asset Management have announced a HS$925 million investment in the J.P. Morgan Partners Global Fund.

The fund, started in 2001, is currently invested in 91 companies in a broad range of industries, mainly in the United States and Europe.

The CPP board and Goldman Sachs said the transaction provides “a unique opportunity for the investor group to partner with a high-quality private equity team, while acquiring an attractive and diverse portfolio of mature buyout and growth equity investments.”

Other investors are also involved in the purchase from J.P. Morgan Chase, including Paul Capital Partners.
