Standard & Poor’s is rebalancing the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index effective after the close of trading on Friday, July 18.
As of the close of trading on Wednesday, July 9, 2003, the index was comprised of 507 companies. As part of the quarterly rebalancing, 66 companies will be removed from the index and 79 new companies will be added. The revised index will be made up of 520 companies.
After the close of trading on Wednesday, July 9, Roseland Resources Ltd. (TSXVN:ROS) was removed from the index. The company was delisted as the result of an amalgamation with Rival Energy Inc. (TSXVN:RVG).
Also on Wednesday, Fronteer Development Group Inc. (TSXVN:FRG) was removed from the index. The company was from the TSX Venture Exchange, and graduated to the TSX to trade under the ticker symbol “FRG.”
