Montreal-based Desjardins Investments Inc. has announced changes to its Chorus II Portfolios. The funds’ investment strategies now will include volatility-reduction criteria to determine what percentage of the portfolios’ assets will be invested in a particular security. The fundamental investment objective for each fund remains unchanged. New York-based Lazard Asset Management LLC will act as an expert advisor and provide asset-allocation recommendations for all Chorus II Portfolios. As well, the funds’ names have been changed as follows to reflect this low-volatility criteria: Chorus II Conservative Portfolio will be renamed Chorus II Conservative Low Volatility Portfolio; Chorus II Balanced Income Portfolio will be renamed Chorus II Moderate Low Volatility Portfolio; Chorus II Corporate Balanced Growth Portfolio will be renamed Chorus II Balanced Low Volatility Portfolio; Chorus II Corporate Class Conservative Portfolio will be renamed Chorus II Corporate Class Conservative Low Volatility Portfolio; Chorus II Corporate Class Balanced Income Portfolio will be renamed Chorus II Corporate Class Moderate Low Volatility Portfolio; and Chorus II Corporate Class Balanced Growth Portfolio will be renamed Chorus II Corporate Class Balanced Low Volatility Portfolio.
