Toronto-based Counsel Portfolio Services Inc. has merged five corporate-class funds into the company’s fund equivalents. As of Jan. 13, the following corporate-class funds were terminated and their assets merged with their corresponding funds: Counsel Global Small Cap Class; Counsel International Growth Class; Counsel Short Term Fixed Income Class; Counsel U.S. Growth Class; and the Counsel U.S. Value Class. As of Nov. 30, 2016, Counsel managed $4.5 billion in assets. Counsel Portfolio Services is a subsidiary of IPC Portfolio Services, in turn a subsidiary of Mississauga, Ont.-based Investment Planning Counsel Inc.
