Toronto-based IA Clarington Investments Inc. has launched a fund for environmentally conscious investors. IA Clarington Inhance Bond SRI Fund invests in government and corporate debt, as well as in preferred shares that meet socially responsible investing (SRI) criteria. The fund will be subadvised by Vancouver-based Vancity Investment Management Ltd. using its in-house investment-management process, which incorporates environmental, social and corporate governance factors. Jeffrey Lew, Andrew Simpson and Dermot Foley will act as portfolio co-managers. IA Clarington is a subsidiary of Quebec City-based Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. Advisor commissions are 0%-5% and trailing commissions are 0.5%. Management fees are 1.25% for B-class units and 0.75% for F-class units. Minimum investment is $500 for B-class units and $10,000 for F-class units. Note: B-class units are equivalent to A-class units for this fund.
