Point Carbon announced the launch of a web-based, analytical tool for understanding carbon market fundamentals in the U.S. and Canada.
The firm said that its Carbon Project Manager North America combines data-driven analysis and market intelligence on over 500 projects that reduce emissions of greenhouse gases from renewable energy, destruction of industrial gases, or terrestrial sequestration activities.
It suggested that the CPMNA will be of value to entrepreneurs, traders, fund managers, project developers, regulators and small businesses, by creating transparency in the marketplace. The product also offers information on developments in the North American offset markets and background data on the voluntary offset space and project methodologies.
“There is an urgent need for this cutting-edge product in the market,” said Per Otto Wold, CEO of Point Carbon. “The level of transparency on individual projects offered by this product, the first-of-its-kind, will energize emissions reduction project development in the U.S. and Canada.”
