Kingsway Financial Services Inc. today announced the appointments of senior officers at two of its subsidiaries.
John McGlynn becomes president and CEO of Kingsway General Insurance Co. and Roger Beck was named president and CEO of American Country Insurance Co.
McGlynn brings over 20 years of insurance experience to his new position. Most recently he was VP, Finance of Kingsway Financial Services Inc.
Beck brings over 15 years of insurance experience to his new role at American Country. Most recently he was VP of Lincoln General responsible for pricing and audit. Prior to joining Lincoln General, Mr. Beck held various managerial positions in marketing, underwriting, pricing and product management with major U.S. based property and casualty insurers.
In a separate release, Kingsway Financial announced the completion of a private placement of trust
preferred securities.
The company says the net proceeds of US$9.7 million will be used to provide additional capital to Kingsway’s subsidiaries to support growth, which may include the repayment of existing credit facilities.
