Reuters is first market data vendor to distribute TSX Datalinx’s real-time feed of CanDeal fixed income information to traders and investors across Canada and around the globe.
CanDeal’s prices and trading platform are used by institutional market professionals across Canada. The Reuters feed will broaden CanDeal’s reach and significantly enhance market transparency.
The feed contains real-time market prices taken from Canada’s six largest domestic investment dealers. CanDeal’s real-time market prices show how these dealers are valuing all domestic Government of Canada bonds and Treasury Bills and a wide range of Provincial issues.
The CanDeal market data feed was launched as a result of a five-year agreement between TSX Datalinx and CanDeal. TSX Datalinx is using its LinxPointOne data distribution product to deliver and manage the CanDeal Market Data offering to Reuters and other vendors.
“We are very pleased to make CanDeal Market Data available to the global marketplace on Reuters’ products. This is the first step, as we are working with other data vendors who will distribute this data as well,” said Eric Sinclair, senior VP, TSX Datalinx, in a news release.. “CanDeal is taking full advantage of LinxPointOne.
“With the addition of CanDeal data through TSX Datalinx, Reuters can now offer its global customers the most complete set of Canadian fixed income content available,” said Jim Davies, managing director, Reuters Canada.
