Mutual fund analyst and consultant Steve Kangas is launching a new Web site focusing on total return investing and dividends.

The Web site — www.totalreturn.com — will include dividend increase announcements and profiles on dividend paying companies, a multimedia centre featuring interviews with leading Canadian portfolio managers, relevant industry news, and a research center with links to other references.

“The scars of the bear market were deep. Many investors have returned to sound principles of seeking quality companies that pay an increasing dividend,” said Kangas, in a news release. “Our goal with the site is to provide a ‘pot pourri’ for investors and financial professionals to better understand and appreciate the importance of dividends and their impact on total returns.”

Kangas will contribute editorial content to the site through feature articles while continuing his regular FundLibrary feature “Paying Dividends.”

“Through research in support of my writing and speaking about dividends, I realized there was a need yet no dedicated source for this kind of information,” Kangas said.

In addition, the first edition of Kangas’ new Total Return eNewsletter will be launched in early November and visitors can register to receive it by the Web site.
