The UK’s Financial Services Authority has made several arrests made in a major insider dealing investigation.
The FSA reports that it arrested eight individuals and executed search warrants across London and southeast England in connection with a major ongoing investigation into insider dealing rings. The regulator is not disclosing whether any charges have been laid.
It noted that this morning’s operation, which involved 40 FSA staff assisted by officers from City of London police, is part of the FSA’s ongoing work to combat market abuse.
