IA Clarington Investments Inc. announced on Monday that it is filing a preliminary prospectus for the Clarington Global Dividend fund.
The fund will be advised by ABN AMRO Asset Management Canada Ltd., with ABN AMRO Asset Management (Netherlands) B.V. acting as sub-advisor. The fund’s investment objective will be to provide a combination of income and long-term capital growth through investment in a portfolio consisting primarily of equity securities of businesses located around the world.
“IA Clarington’s multi-manager strategy combines our internal investment management expertise with leading external money managers,” said Eric Frape, vice president, Product Management at IA Clarington. “We are pleased to strengthen our relationship with the ABN AMRO organization, which already manages our innovative Target Click balanced funds.”
A preliminary simplified prospectus relating to the fund has been filed with certain Canadian securities commissions or similar authorities. Investors cannot buy units of the fund unless and until the relevant securities commissions or similar authorities issue receipts for the final simplified prospectus of the fund. Units of the fund will be available on a front-end, low-load, or deferred sales charge basis.
