Vancouver-based Industrial-Alliance Pacific Life Insurance Co. has a signed en exclusive three-agreement with Vigil Locating Systems Inc. to provide Vigil’s global positions service (GPS) security solutions to the automotive marketplace.
A subsidiary of Industrial-Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc., IAP Life offers creditor group life and disability insurance for the automobile, heavy truck and recreational vehicle markets. Its product portfolio includes mechanical breakdown protection and their automotive related insurance product.
This agreement consists of nation-wide promotional services by which IAP Life’s network will ensure coverage to 2,100 dealers in Canada.
The tracking solution offered by Vigil GPS will be cross-sold with the products carried by IAP Life.
“IAP Life is extremely pleased to add Vigil GPS system to its product portfolio. We anticipate that there will be a significant level of interest in the Vigil product in the automotive marketplace”, said Mike Stickney, VP & General Manager, IAP Life, in a news release.
