CIBC Asset Management Inc. announced the addition of new investment products to its family of mutual funds and portfolio solutions on Thursday to offer retail investors greater choice, value and performance potential.
The new CIBC Disciplined U.S. Equity Fund and CIBC Disciplined International Equity Fund provide investors with a unique opportunity to participate in U.S. and international equity markets with a truly exceptional degree of discipline and risk management. These funds employ a mathematical model to capitalize on equity market growth while carefully managing risk.
“CIBC Asset Management is pleased to offer Canadian investors two new investment options that together allow them to diversify their holdings globally while managing the volatility of their portfolio,” said Steve Geist, president of CIBC Asset Management.
The funds are sub-advised by U.S.-based Enhanced Investment Technologies, LLC (INTECH) who have applied their proprietary strategy to achieve above-index returns since 1987. The Janus INTECH Risk-Managed Core Fund, which uses INTECH’s Enhanced Plus strategy, has a five-star Morningstar rating.
CIBC Money Market Fund has always offered active money management, capital protection, flexibility and competitive yield potential, the company said. Now, with the creation of a Premium Class of CIBC Money Market Fund, investors who invest $100,000 or more can benefit from a lower management fee and even higher yield potential.
“The new Premium Class of CIBC Money Market Fund responds to investors’ need for a higher yield on the cash component of their portfolio,” said Steve Geist.
In addition to the new funds, the company is introducing the new CIBC Managed Monthly Income Balanced Portfolio to CIBC Managed Portfolio Services (MPS), a managed portfolio program primarily sold through CIBC’s proprietary sales channels. With exposure to a broadly diversified pool of securities across Canadian, U.S., and international markets, this new income portfolio is a strong choice for investors seeking conservative management and after-tax income within a single portfolio solution.
