Bank of Nova Scotia has launched a new media initiative to clients called The Money Clip, an on-going podcast series to offer money management advice and insight.
The Money Clip podcast series, an audio extension of Scotiabank’s digital newsletter The Vault, which reaches one million permission-based subscribers, provides advice and education from financial experts.
Shortly after launching two weeks ago, The Money Clip podcast series was ranked the number one business podcast on iTunes Canada.
Canadians have the option to listen to the podcast straight from the Web site at www.themoneyclippodcast.com, download it to their computer for a fast and easy reference or they can subscribe through iTunes.
The Vault was created six years ago as an on-line newsletter to help subscribers get ahead financially.
In addition to The Money Clip series, starting November 1 there will be a series of podcasts available to the public through Scotiabank’s Find The Money Web site for listening, downloading or by subscription from iTunes. The podcasts will be hosted by Fred Ketchen, Director of Equity Trading, Scotiabank and feature advice and commentary from a series of guests including Ian Filderman, Director of Mutual Funds, ScotiaMcLeod, Bruce Armstrong, Director of Financial Planning, Scotiabank and Beverly Moir, Senior Financial Planner, ScotiaMcLeod. The Find the Money podcasts will be available by going to findthemoney.scotiabank.com.
“We are always searching for new ways to provide better service and to reach out to our customers,” said John Doig, senior vp, marketing, domestic banking, Scotiabank, noting that the bank is a leader in the financial services industry in using new media. “By creating podcasts, we have been able to provide more in depth advice and education to subscribers in an easy to access and portable format.”
