CIBC Asset Management announced Friday the investment manager line-up for the new CIBC Global Monthly Income Fund.
To address investors’ increasing demand for diversified global income investment vehicles, CIBC Asset Management today announced the appointment of Philadelphia-based Brandywine Global Investment Management to manage the global fixed income component of the CIBC Global Monthly Income Fund, currently weighted at 20%, and Vancouver-based Mackenzie Cundill Investment Management to manage the 40% global equity component of the fund.
Stephen Gerring of CIBC Global Asset Management, the lead manager of CIBC Monthly Income Fund, will manage the 40% Canadian equity and fixed income component.
“We are very excited to offer this trio of leading portfolio managers to investors in the CIBC Global Monthly Income Fund,” said Steve Geist, president of CIBC Asset Management. “Brandywine Global, Cundill, and Stephen Gerring of CIBC Global Asset Management are three exceptional investment managers in their respective asset classes – and for the first time investors can now benefit from the outstanding track records of all three world-class managers in one global monthly income fund.”
The fund will be available for sale on or about December 11, and will also be available through CIBC’s Managed Portfolio Services (MPS) offer.
The 40/20/40 allocation of assets between the three components of the fund may vary over time.
