Louise Laflamme joined the board of directors of National Bank on Nov. 3, the Montreal-based bank announced Thursday.
This brings the number of directors to 15, including four women.
Laflamme to will also serve on the board’s audit and risk management committee.
Laflamme comes to the bank after 11 years at the Montreal Exchange where she most recently held the position of executive vp and advisor to the president and CEO after serving as executive vp and CFO. She also worked 12 years at the accounting firm Raymond, Chabot, Martin, Paré & Associés.
Laflamme is a Certified General Accountant and has been a member of the Ordre professionnel des comptables généraux licenciés du Québec since 1977.
“Given her solid experience in accounting, finance and management in a regulated context, Ms. Laflamme is certain to contribute extensively to the mission of the board,” the bank said in a release.
