A slew of new initiatives are set to put a green spin on the Canadian Investment Awards this year.
Taking place on Dec. 3 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto, the 14th annual awards ceremony will reflect new recognition and encouragement of responsible business practices in the financial services industry.
This includes the presentation of an inaugural award for environmental leadership, and the introduction of a new ‘Green’ Online Learning portal from Learning Library Inc. that will launch shortly after the event. The portal will help Canadian business learn how to become more environmentally responsible from industry experts.
In addition, the event itself will feature its smallest environmental footprint ever. It will feature a sustainable gourmet menu and a showcase of local and sustainable suppliers.
The annual event recognizes excellence and leadership in the financial services industry.
“Our goal each year is to recognize innovation, leadership and commitment to long-term investing in Canada,” said Sabine Steinbrecher, founder of the Canadian Investment Awards.
“Never before has leadership and long term vision been more relevant or impactful in these markets. Leaders are making substantial efforts to continue to serve Canadians and we are proud to showcase those at the forefront.”
Also new this year will be tributes to past financial services industry leaders and legends through a series of videos and live interviews.
