Wellington West Holdings Inc. has renewed its five-year affinity agreement with the University of Toronto, the wealth management firm said Thursday.
Under the agreement, exclusive wealth management services will be provided to alumni members of Canada’s largest university through Wellington West subsidiary company, Clearsight Inc.
“The University of Toronto was the first institution to recognize the advantages the Clearsight program could provide for their members,” says Michael Burns, president, Clearsight, Inc. “We are honoured that U of T has made this long-term commitment to working with Wellington West.”
Wellington West says the Clearsight program provides members of participating university alumni associations access to top advisors, premium investment products and straightforward pricing. Through the program, Wellington West investment advisors are hand-picked to work with alumni clients. Each client is matched with an investment advisor whose credentials, experience, objectivity and track record are best suited to meet the individual’s investing profile and objectives.
“In the current economic environment, sound financial advice and wealth management expertise has become more important to our alumni than ever before,” said Kyle Winters, executive director, university advancement partnerships.
Clearsight says its investment program is the dominant provider of affinity wealth management services for alumni and professionals in Canada. It has partnered with more than 20 leading universities, representing more than two million well-educated and top income-earning professionals in Canada.
