Shorcan Brokers Ltd., a fixed income inter-dealer broker and subsidiary of TMX Group Inc., raised more than $570,000 during its 11th Annual Charity Day, the company said Friday.
The funds, which represent the day’s revenue, will be disbursed to the following charities:
– All-A-Board Youth Ventures
– Big Brothers and Big Sisters of St. Catherines-Thorold and District
– Canadian Athletes Now Fund
– Canadian Spinal Research Organization
– Centre Philou
– CIBC World Markets Children’s Miracle Foundation
– Community Centre 55
– Covenant House
– Foundation for Fighting Blindness
– Hospital for Sick Children Neo Natal Care
– Ontario Track 3 Ski Association for the Disabled
– Parkdale Food Bank
– Pelletier Homes for Youth
– Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation Ovarian Cancer
– Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada
– Société de la Saint Vincent de Paul
– Toronto Youth Development
“All of us at Shorcan are very proud of the contribution that we are able to make to these community organizations,” says Peter Conroy, Shorcan president. “Client participation is critical and we are grateful for their support.” Including this year, Shorcan has raised almost $3.8 million from its Charity Days.
